Our strong customer-centered approach and unwavering commitment to meeting the highest quality standards have served as the basis upon which we have developed our company and propelled it to new heights.

What is a cooling tower?

A cooling tower is a customized heat exchanger that makes air and water come into direct contact in order to lower the temperature of the water. As a result, lowering the temperature of the water pumped through the tower, a very tiny amount of water evaporates.

Hot water goes to the cooling tower through pipes. The water sprays via nozzles onto the fills, slowing the flow of water through the cooling tower and exposing as much water surface area as possible for optimum air-water interaction. Water is exposed to air as it passes through the fills in the cooling tower, after that air is drawn through the tower by an electric motor-driven fan.

Providing a cooling effect, a little amount of water evaporates when water and air collide. The cooled water is then pumped back to the condenser or other heat-absorbing equipment. After that, it is pushed back to the cooling tower where it is cooled once again.

Cooling Tower Components And Functions

Drift Eliminators:

Drift eliminators force the air and droplets to make abrupt changes in direction. It removes water droplets from the released air and reduces water loss. As a result, the water drops separate from the air and go back into the tower. Drift eliminators minimize the quantity of water that leaks into the cooling tower’s discharge air. They disperse air in numerous directions, preventing needless water loss. We use PVC material to make these drift eliminators.

Cooling Tower Fills Media:

The fill is one of the most essential parts of a cooling tower. The capacity to promote both the maximum contact surface and the maximum contact duration between air and water shows the effectiveness of the cooling tower. Cooling tower fill medium ensures that as much air as feasible comes into touch with as much water as possible. The PVC fills cause the water to condense into thin flowing sheets, allowing the greatest water surface area to interact with the airflow. PVC is all used to make fill media. There are different materials available but at Delta Cooling Towers, we use PVC fills, they are extremely durable and efficient as compared to the other types of fills.

Cold Water Basin:

At Delta Cooling towers which is one of the top cooling tower suppliers in India, we use FRP material for the cold water basin. The cold water basin basically has two functions. The primary function is to collect and store cold water from the tower. The second function is that it is robust and serves as a foundation for the cooling tower’s primary construction. The distance between the top of the cold basin and the fan assembly determines the cooling tower’s height.

Cooling Tower Fans:

Cooling Tower fans are a vital part of the cooling tower. At Delta Cooling Towers Pvt. Ltd. we use Aluminium alloy as the build material for fans. They are robust and long-lasting as compared to other materials while offering the best in class performance. The pitch angle is the angle that forms between the fan blades with the plane in a cooling tower.

Water Distribution Piping:

They are used to distribute the hot water to the fills inside the cooling tower through nozzles or sprinklers (for round cooling towers. DFC 50 Series). This ensures that water is distributed evenly through the nozzles or sprinklers to cover the maximum surface area.

Cooling Tower Nozzles:

Nozzles are employed to ensure that hot water is distributed evenly throughout a cooling tower’s fills. At Delta, we use an Aluminum alloy material that is corrosion resistant and has an extremely long life as compared to the other mentioned materials for nozzles and sprinklers. Delta cooling towers is one of the best cooling tower manufacturers when it comes to using high-quality raw material.

The world’s demands and requirements for produced goods have increased dramatically with the growing global population. This has compelled the industrial sector to produce an increasing number of items each day. And resulting in increased manufacturing process heat. Machines and processes in industries that create a lot of heat need to be cooled all the time so they can keep working. Installing a cooling tower is the most efficient, effective, and cost-effective way to remove this heat. Not all cooling towers are appropriate for every purpose. Cooling towers may be built and produced in a variety of styles and sizes. When choosing the correct cooling tower for a project, it’s vital to understand the different varieties, as well as their benefits. Delta Cooling Towers builds cooling towers according to current market trends and your needs at our advanced production facilities. At Delta Cooling Towers we provide the best in class after-sales service also and rank in the top cooling tower companies in India.
